A man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm following an attack in Maidstone.

Abraham Joseph, of Wallis Avenue, Park Wood, was arrested in Union Street at 4.20pm on Wednesday, shortly after an assault which caused an injury to the hand of a man.

He has now been charged with GBH without intent, three counts of theft of sweets and chocolate from The Mall, King Street, two thefts of video game controllers from a Week Street shop and a burglary of an Earl Street restaurant last month.
