Defendant Joseph Bell of St Leonards-on-Sea in Sussex cleared of raping teenager he was accused of meeting in Tunbridge Wells area

A man's been cleared of grooming and raping a 14-year-old girl after he was accused of contacting her through a social media site.

Joseph Bell, 26, was charged with three counts of rape and one of grooming after, it was alleged, he contacted the girl through social media and met her in the Tunbridge Wells area on November 28 last year.

Maidstone Magistrates' Court

But Mr Bell, of North Street in St Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex, was cleared of all charges at Maidstone Crown Court.

He was also accused of assaulting a 16-year-old boy, and was cleared of that charge too.
