A man has been taken to hospital following a disturbance in Maidstone town centre this evening.

Police were called to deal with the incident at around 6.45pm in Station Road.

Non-specified injuries were sustained by one man who was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The area around Brenchley Gardens was cordoned off by police while investigations were carried out.
