Man in dock charged with killing Terry

A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Kent teenager Terry Edmonds.

Philip James Bell, unemployed, of no fixed address within the Tunbridge Wells area, is accused of killing the 17-year-old student following his arrest yesterday.

He appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court this morning and was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on August 21.

Terry, from Hadlow, near Tonbridge, was last seen after she got off a train at Tunbridge Wells railway station at 6.25pm on Monday, April 17.

Her body was later found in a suitcase in a car park close to Morrisons supermarket in the centre of the town
