A man was taken to hospital with a head injury following reports of an assault in Maidstone.

It took place in Wyke Manor Road at around 4am on Sunday and police and paramedics were called.

The man, in his 20s, was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury but refused to help officers with their investigation.

He was conscious but was taken to hospital as a priority.
