A driver left the scene of a crash this morning, as his passenger remained trapped in the car.

Police said a Peugeot 307 hit a parked car which then shunted another stationary vehicle.

The incident happened in Tonbridge Road, near Oakwood Park, with police being called at 2.35am.

The fire service had to use use hydraulic rescue equipment to free the male passenger who was trapped.

He was taken to hospital and his injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

A police spokesman added: "We are still trying to locate the driver who left the scene."

Fire fighters then left at 3.36am.
