A man has died after collapsing outside the Kent History and Library Centre in Maidstone.

Three ambulances, firefighters and police were called to the scene around 3.20pm yesterday afternoon after the man, aged 66 was taken ill while crossing James Whatman Way.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him but were not successful.
