A number of residents have been angered by missed bin collections.

Maidstone Borough Council has today apologised after around 1,000 properties were not included in yesterday's rounds in Loose, near Maidstone.

Collections were delayed due to operational difficulties with a broken down vehicle.

The bins missed constitute just 3% of those due to be dealt with, and have been emptied today.

The council has advised that should residents be concerned that their bins have been missed, they are able to report it within 48 hours via its website.
