Missy's castle visit

Following her amazing success in the Olympic swimming events, double gold medal winner Missy Franklin will be staying at Leeds Castle to celebrate her success with her US compatriots later this week.

A US-based travel company booked the castle for a week-long Olympic gala earlier this year.

Its 45 guests will enjoy all the 900-year-old castle has to offer in between their visits to London to the games.

Seventeen-year-old world record holder Missy and her family, who live in Denver, Colorado, will be joining the group for a medieval-style dinner on Wednesday and staying the night in the castle.

Victoria Wallace, the castle's chief executive, said: "We are delighted that Missy will take home not just her medals, but memories of a wonderful stay at Leeds Castle."
