There will be no live-streaming of the Hazlitt Theatre's Aladdin panto into the neighbouring Exchange Studio.

The theatre management announced yesterday that they were considering streaming two of the shows in a bid to increase capacity so that some of the many hundreds of families that had bought tickets for the failed Maidstone Panto at The Friars in Aylesford would still have the chance to see a Christmas show.

However, this morning the theatre has announced it has dropped the idea.

Michelle Woodland said: "Having thoroughly explored the possibility of live streaming the Hazlitt Theatre's sold-out production of Aladdin into our Exchange Studio, regrettably it has been decided that this is not a viable option.

"This decision has been made after we have explored the logistics, audience experience and taken into account all of the feedback we have received."
