A motorcyclist, thought to be from Maidstone, has died after a crash.

The accident happened at around 8.10pm on Tuesday as a group of bikers from Kent travelled towards Bexhill on the A259.

One of the motorcycles, a Suzuki 750, left the road and collided with a lamp post.

The rider, believed to be in his 30s and from Maidstone, died from his injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Gowran.
