Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash on Rushmead Drive at junction with Loose Road in Maidstone

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance crews after he came off his bike in Maidstone.

The man, believed to be aged around 18 to 20 years old, crashed just before 6pm today on Rushmead Drive, close to the junction with Loose Road.

The ambulance came about 90 minutes late. Stock picture.

He was taken to Pembury hospital for treatment, and police reopened the road at 6.30pm.

It is not yet known what injuries he sustained.
