Kent motorists heading for Heathrow should expect long delays on the M25.

The motorway is currently closed in both directions because of animals loose on the carriageway.

One of those caught up in the hold-up is Maidstone Borough Councillor Dave Naghi, who is heading for Windsor. He said: “We haven’t moved for half an hour.”

Expect long delays

The incident is between J8, the A217 Reigate turn-off, and J9 for the A243 to Leatherhead

The disruption has been labelled “severe” by Highways England.
