Earlier this month it was potholes, now it is mud which is causing a headache for drivers using Detling Hill.

Long tailbacks have formed in the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 due to a large amount of debris on the road from the embankment.

It is affecting commuters between the White Horse Wood turn-off and Maidstone.

A lane has been closed and Kent Highways are said to be on their way to sweep the road.
