A multi-vehicle crash is causing long delays in Maidstone.

Emergency services were called to the A249, Sittingbourne road just after 4.30pm to reports of a three-car collision.

One lane was blocked heading towards the Chiltern Hundreds but has now been reopened by police.

Officers have now left the scene and no serious injuries have been reported.

Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys as delays remain.
