Musical star will compere show

West End star Connie Fisher will present a one-off festival celebrating musicals old and new.

The actress and singer will appear at the Hazlitt Arts Centre in Maidstone on Sunday, September 16, as the host of the Great British Musical - The Famous and the Future.

Fisher rose to fame after winning the BBC talent contest “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?” in 2006, and went on to star in The Sound of Music in the West End.

Presented by Perfect Pitch, the show will be performed at 4pm and 7.30pm at the theatre in Earl Street, and includes West End performers John Addison, Aimie Atkinson, Jack Shalloo, Emily Tierney, Jennifer Tierney and Michael Xavier.
