A new town centre pub restaurant is helping young volunteers gain experience.
The Herbalist has teamed up with Switch Youth Cafe, which helps give catering experience to young people and adults recovering from substance abuse.
Now volunteers are able to gain training and experience via The Herbalist, which opened at the former Buddha Belly on Pudding Lane on Friday.
Mark Chase, manager of Switch Youth Cafe said: "We're working in partnership with Elite Pubs, which runs The Herbalist.
"We put our volunteers through a food and hygiene qualification , this is another chance for our volunteers to gain experience in a pub environment.
"Hopefully it can help them find employment in the local community."
