An assault left a nightclub looking "like a bloodbath".

Paramedics also attended and the man was treated at the scene, but refused to be taken to hospital.

Enquiries are ongoing and police are now appealing for witnesses.

A woman whose daughter was there told KentOnline the dancefloor looked "like a bloodbath" and the club had to close early as a result.

The mum said her daughter was in shock after the attack and had to give a statement to police.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers are asking anybody with information that may help their investigation to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 27-0077."

It's not yet known whether the man was taken to hospital for his injury.
