Police are investigating after a group of teenagers opened the doors to cars and threw snowballs at people as they drove by.

Officers received half a dozen calls during the late afternoon yesterday about a group of 10 teenagers causing a nuisance in the Tovil area.

It is reported they threw snowballs at people and opened the doors of passing vehicles and threw snow at those inside.

Police were called to Armstrong Road in Tovil

They also caused damage to the side window of a van and were verbally abusive to people who challenged them. Patrols attended and the teenagers ran off.

There were no further reports in the evening. Local neighbourhood teams will be making further enquiries.
