Two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of theft after they were spotted by an off-duty officer.

The men from Maidstone, both 19, were detained by the policeman at about 6.40pm on Friday, when they were seen acting suspiciously in College Road.

Patrols attended and arrested the teens. A quantity of cable, thought to be stolen, was recovered.

The duo have been bailed until Friday, April 19.
