Police seal off Maidstone riverside toilet block after suspected assault

The area around the public toilets at Maidstone's riverside has been cordoned off this afternoon after a man was assaulted.

Ambulance crews were called to treat the man who is believed to have suffered head injuries close to the toilet block at the bottom of the High Street at around 3.40pm this afternoon.

Police were also called and have sealed off the scene.

It is not yet known the extent of the man's injuries, but it is thought that he may need to be flown to hospital by the Kent Air Ambulance, after being moved to Mote Park.
