Disappointed families left with no Christmas panto after the collapse of the Maidstone Panto Snow White run by Danny Wright have been offered a life-line by an amateur theatre company.

The Ashford Theatre Society are yet to start their run of Peter Pan and tickets are still available.

Alan Stamp of the society said: "I see that some Maidstone Panto ticket holders are worried about not being able to book another pantomime in time because of a delay in getting their refunds.

"We just wanted to issue a lifeline to these families and say that they are welcome to our pantomime which opens on January 18. We are an amateur pantomime, but always strive to professional production levels and while we can’t promise big names or ‘winter wonderlands’, if any families wanted to book for Peter Pan we would welcome them with open arms."

Tickets are £8 to £10 from www.ashfordtheatre.uk or 0333 666 3366
