The parents of a young man killed in a road accident on Friday, have paid tribute to their "much loved boy with a cheeky smile".

Kent Police today named the 18 year old man who died in Friday's collision on Bedgebury Road, Goudhurst as Lewis Ramsden of Goudhurst.

Lewis was killed as he travelled to work in his Vauxhall Corsa at around 8am.

His car was in a collision with a Volvo near Bedgebury School and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male driver of the Volvo was taken to hospital with less serious injuries.

Lewis' parents, Diane and Steve, said: “He worked for Mick Gould’s in Flimwell which he loved as he was always tinkering around, fixing and building things.

"He was our much loved boy with a cheeky smile and not a bad bone in his body.

"He will be hugely missed by everyone who knew him and our thanks go to all his friends and colleagues for their support and kind words.”

An inquest into the death is expected to be opened and adjourned later this week

Officers would like anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the cars in the area around the time it occurred.
