A parrot missing for three weeks was reunited with its owner after flying into a school.
The three-year-old yellow and green bird caused a flutter when he was spotted by pupils at Bethany School in Goudhurst, but was soon happily perching on the shoulder of caretaker Arthur Roberts.
However, the parrot was not in school for long, as the school soon tracked down the Dalia Halpern-Matthews, who owns the parrot who is called Dabble, said: “He flew away three weeks ago from our home in Brenchley. We have had him for nearly two- and- a- half years, and he was nine months old when we got him.
“Although we say “he”, we have never had him DNA tested which is the only way to sex amazon parrots. We have all missed him tremendously, and are incredibly excited to know he may be safe and well”.
She added after being reunited with it: “I cannot express how grateful we are to have him back home –- and he is really happy (and so very, very noisy) too.”
