GARY FIELD: his widow says he was her rock and best friend

THE widow of a man who died in a road crash has paid tribute to his "loving nature" following an inquest verdict that he was unlawfully killed.

Gary Field, from Chart Sutton, near Maidstone, was a front seat passenger in a car driven by Keith Hoadley that crashed on the A274 at Langley on June 25. Mr Hoadley was also killed.

Mr Field's widow, Wendy, says she hopes that with the inquest now over, it may bring some closure.

She said: "I have been dreading this day for so long, but at least now we know the truth about the accident, perhaps we can start to think about rebuilding our lives.

"Although, I do not want to think about my life without Gary, it’s so unbearable without him. He was my husband, my best friend and my rock. He was my whole world for 30 years and I love and miss him so much, and will every day of my life."

She added: "So now that this is all over with, I just hope and pray he will rest in peace. He so deserves that."

Inquest verdict: unlawful killing.
