Man charged with assaulting two police officers on Covey Hall Road, Snodland

A 37-year-old-man has been charged after two police officers were assaulted in Snodland.

Police were called to a disturbance at a property in Covey Hall Road just after 9am on Monday.

Police say as they attempted to make an arrest, a man grabbed an officer by the throat and threw her to the floor. A second officer was also assaulted and bitten on the hand.

Steven Seeley was arrested and later charged with two counts of assault by beating an emergency worker.

He was also charged with two further assaults, relating to the initial incident.

Mr Seeley will appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 22.
