Maidstone: Police appeal following reported robbery at the junction of Upper Fant Road, Bower Lane and Bower Place

Police are hunting a robber who demanded cash from a man in the street.

The victim was approached by a man outside the Spar newsagents, at the junction of Upper Fant Road, Bower Lane and Bower Place in Maidstone.

The suspect, who is described as white and around 6ft 2ins tall, then demanded money. A small amount of cash was handed over.

The victim was not seriously injured in the incident, which happened between 6.50pm and 7.08pm on Saturday, October 15.
