An 18-year-old man was assaulted by three men in an incident in Campbell Road, Maidstone.

The assault happened at 7.40pm on Wednesday and the victim was left with minor injuries.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the assault and later released on bail. Police are looking into whether the victim and the offenders knew each other.

Detectives would also like to speak to anyone who saw a silver Mercedes in the area at the time, which is reported to have driven the wrong way up Campbell Road – a one way street – and may have been connected with the assault.

If you can help police call DC Martin Barrow at Maidstone police station on 01622 604272, quoting crime reference YY/17369/13. Alternatively contact Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
