Stolen Land Rover drives onto police car in Park Wood, Maidstone

Police officers had to scramble to safety after a stolen Land Rover rammed their patrol car and drove onto the bonnet.

They escaped without any serious injury following the incident in Park Wood, Maidstone, yesterday afternoon.

Two people were arrested at 4.10pm less than an hour after the 4x4 had been stolen from East Peckham.

The vehicle was reported missing from Bells Farm Road at around 3.40pm and contained the owner's phone and laptop.

The suspects are alleged to have deliberately rammed the police car and driven onto its bonnet.

The suspects, aged 34 and 49, were taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
