Ashford men arrested after police dog finds 'drugs' in car pulled over near Maidstone

Officers have arrested two men they pulled over in a car on the M20, after a police dog found suspected drugs in their possession.

The vehicle was stopped at 5.41pm near junction 5 of the motorway on Sunday and, when searched, a quantity of white powder was found in the centre console and inside a rucksack.

Officers also seized a knuckle duster.

Police dog Piper helped officers make two arrests near Maidstone (2127421)

Two men from Ashford aged 25 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

The former was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

Both were bailed to return to the police station on June 7.
