Cannabis factory

Police seized around 200 mature cannabis plants after a raid in Buckland Road, Maidstone, last night (Tuesday, September 14).

Officers found the factory after receiving an anonymous tip-off telling them there was a cannabis factory somewhere in the road.

After searching the area, the factory was located when sharp-eyed police spotted changes to the roof of one building, which included newly-installed air vents.

Police believe the premises were about to be expanded for large-scale cannabis cultivation.
