Police officers patrolling a town centre have arrested a man and recovered a knife along with drugs and cash.

Police attended McDonalds in Week Street, Maidstone, at 5pm on Monday after receiving information that a man may be in possession of drugs.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of a knife and in possession of a controlled drug.

He remains in custody at this time and inquiries are ongoing.
