Police shut down a suspected rave after calls from Lamberhurst residents worried about the effects of music on farm animals.

Officers found several hundred people at a site near Table Top Farm, after loud music was reported in the area late on Saturday August 8.

Police said the event "appeared organised" and while some people there said were attending a private party, others said they had bought tickets.

The volume of the music was turned down at the request of police, who then made a formal request to stop the music and clear the area.

One man was arrested while walking along the carriageway of the A21 for being drunk and disorderly.
