A large scale cannabis cultivation plant consisting of more than 300 plants has been discovered in a farm building near Yalding.

The crop is estimated to have a street value worth hundreds of thousands of pounds and will now be destroyed.

The alert was raised yesterday, when power engineers visited a site in Collier Street, close to Prospect Place, due to concerns over the supply of electricity.
