Market Buildings fight leads to assault on Special Constable in Maidstone at the weekend

A Special Constable called to intervene in a disturbance outside a pub was then assaulted when he got there.

The incident happened at 3.30am on Sunday morning in Market Buildings, Maidstone.

Police had been called after reports of a fight outside Bar Chocolate.

But when police arrived, the Special was assaulted, suffering facial injuries. He had to go to Maidstone Hospital for treatment.

Thirty-three-year-old Tomasz Juchnik of Buckland Road, Maidstone, was charged with affray and assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty. He has been bailed until Thursday, June 26.
