Poppy Man pops by

The Poppy Man meets Goudhurst RBL members Brian Ferdinando and Richard Dixon

He's been roving the country helping remind people of the importance of the Poppy Appeal, but Poppy Man ventured into the Kentish countryside this week to help promote an event which will help his colleagues serving in Afghanistan.
The life-sized man made of poppies was seen outside Goudhurst Village Hall by the pond in the village centre on TuesdayMay 6to urge people to support the Goudhurst branch of the RBL at their spring fundraising fair to be held on Saturday between 10am and noon.
The event, which is free to enter, will raise money for parcels for members of the armed forces on active service in Afghanistan to be sent out to them.
