More than 1,000 buildings were affected by a power cut in Maidstone.
A fault on a high-voltage underground cable caused power to go down at about 3.30pm on Thursday. Power was restored at 4.10pm to all but 119 customers.
An EDF Energy spokesman said 1,107 customers had been affected.
The buildings were in the town centre around Kings Street, Week Street, High Street and Loose Road.
EDF said they would continue to work hard to get power back to the remaining 119 customers.
