Pub brawl CCTV released

By: Danny Boyle

Published: 14:58, 12 July 2012

POLICE have released CCTV images in the bid to track down six men involved in a pub brawl.

They might have grown beards and gone grey since cameras captured snatches of the fight at the Eight Bells pub in Hawkhurst - back on Sunday, May 6.

But police put the delayed release down to the fact other lines of inquiry had to be followed first.

The fight happened just before midnight and left one man with bruised ribs and cuts to his head.

Six other men involved in the confrontation left the pub shortly afterwards.

PC Chris Relf called the attack a "particularly nasty assault", adding: "I would urge the public to study these images and anyone who may recognize the men pictured should contact us. Alternatively, the men who appear in the images may wish to rule themselves out of our enquiries."

Anyone with further information should ring Kent Police on 101 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously quoting crime reference YY/8021/12.
