Raid gang stole watches worth £160,000

The gang used hammers to smash a window display at Fraser Hart Jewellers in Fremlin Walk, Maidstone.

ROLEX watches stolen during a robbery at a Kent jewellers are worth £160,000, police have revealed.

Three men raided Fraser Hart Jewellers at Fremlin Walk, Maidstone, on the afternoon of December 7.

Staff were threatened and a window display smashed with hammers.

Police say 42 watches and a quantity of white gold diamond rings were stolen before the gang escaped in a blue Peugeot 406.

That car was later found abandoned at Ringlestone, near Maidstone, where the men changed vehicles to a black 4x4.

Now police have issued a warning for the public to be vigilant and report it if they are offered a Rolex under suspicious circumstances.
