Maidstone: Thousands of pounds worth of rare coins have been stolen from a home in Upper Fant Road

A collection of 2,500 rare coins worth thousands of pounds was stolen during a burglary in Maidstone.
The break-in happened in Upper Fant Road on between 2.30pm and 7pm on Monday (July 3).
Jewellery, including a gold ring with diamonds, was also taken.
The collection includes a number of modern, but rare £2 and 50 pence pieces, as well as distinctive coins no longer in circulation.
Thieves gained entry after forcing the front door of the victim's home.
Residents, second-hand dealers and jewellers are urgent to be vigilant and should contact Kent Police if they have been offered, or have seen, a collection for sale.
