Police patrols have now been stood down after they were called this afternoon to Albany Street at 3:15pm following the discovery of a 16 mm WW2 practice artillery round, which was found on a construction site.

The bomb disposal team identified the shell was of no threat and took the device away for it to be safely disposed of.

Albany Road, which was initially cordoned off as a precaution, has now been reopened.
