One lane of the Maidstone bridge network was closed at 5pm yesterday after a collision involving two vehicles and a motorcycle.

Kent Police was called at 5:02pm as traffic built up on the A229 due to rush hour and the collision.

Kent Highways tweeted to say one lane was currently blocked.

South East Ambulance were called by police just before 5.30pm to reports of a motorcyclist having been involved in the collision.

An ambulance crew attended the scene and the motorcyclist was treated for a leg injury before being moved to Maidstone District General Hospital.
