Changeling Theatre's open air show at Boughton Monchelsea Place includes real-life romance

Romance was certainly in the air for the Changeling Theatre’s open air performance of Romeo and Juliet at Boughton Monchelsea Place near Maidstone.

During the interval, the cast stood aside as audience member Rob Cooney stood up and took to the stage to propose to partner Lavinia Evans from Maidstone, who happily accepted.

The production is touring the county, finishing up at Boughton Monchelsea Place for the final three shows, with the last on Sunday, August 3.

A special performance for the hard of hearing will take place in Whatman Park, Maidstone, on Saturday, July 12, at 7.30pm. The audience can bring their own picnics and enjoy theatre beside the River Medway.
