A Cranbrook man has been charged with attempting to meet a child following grooming, following a sting by a vigilante group.

He was the second man to be arrested in two nights at Mote Park, after 'paedophile hunting group' The Hunted One called police on Sunday.

Christopher Williams, aged 49, of Goudhurst Road, was remanded to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court later today.

Police have recorded a 69% rise in abusers in Kent meeting children after grooming them online in the last five years.
