Seven arrested after burglaries

Seven people have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries.

The group of five men and two women were questioned by police after three houses were burgled in Roman Way, Boughton Monchelsea.

Homes on the new estate, built by Ward Homes, were targeted between Thursday, October 7, and Wednesday, October 13.

A 17-year-old man was arrested by police on Thursday, October 14, after officers recovered a VW Golf taken in one of the incidents.

All seven suspects have been released on bail.

Two men, aged 30 and 19, from Maidstone, and a 17-year-old man from Chatham, have been bailed until Friday, October 29.

A 22-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, both from Maidstone, are on bail until Wednesday, November 3.

A 18-year-old man from Maidstone was granted bail until Sunday, November 14, and a 16-year-old woman from Maidstone has been released on bail unitl Monday, November 15.
