Traffic building on London-bound M20 between Snodland and Maidstone

All lanes have reopened on the M20 after an earlier crash.

Traffic has returned to normal on the London-bound M20 between junction 4 for the A228 at Leybourne and Snodland and junction 3 for the M26.

Congestion stretched to the M20 to junction 6 for the A229.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 7.15am on Monday, January 29, to reports of a collision involving two cars between junctions 4 to 3 on the Londonbound carriageway of the M20.

"Officers attended the scene with South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"Lanes 2 and 3 of the carriageway are currently closed while recovery is arranged."
