Drivers continue to be hit by delays this afternoon following an earlier crash involving a lorry and a car in Willington Street, Maidstone.

Police were called to the accident just before 3.30pm near the junction with Northumberland Road.

The incident partially blocked the road and delays remain in the area.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Officers are currently at the scene where one of the drivers is receiving treatment for an injury that is described as minor.

"There will be some congestion in the area until one of the vehicles is recovered."
