Police arrested five suspected illegal immigrants in a village this morning.

The force received a number of calls from people reporting that stowaways had been seen getting out of a lorry in the Lenham area.

Four men, three from Iraq and one from Iran, were detained in Grafty Green at 9.50am and are being transported to the Home Office immigration enforcement facility in Dover.

A minor was also found at the scene and was passed to the care of Kent Social Services

It is believed there may be others still on the run and officers have been searching the area.
