A multi-vehicle crash caused long tailbacks in Maidstone.

It happened at about 4.30pm in the A229 Blue Bell Hill.

The northbound carriageway was partially blocked and there is queuing traffic around Chatham Road.

Congestion was also reported at junction six of the M20.

Traffic heading towards junction three of the M2 was affected.

Arriva said the accident caused "severe delays" and that disruption will be caused to all 101 bus services towards Chatham.
