A teenager has died after falling from a motorway bridge.

The woman, who was in her late teens, died last night after she fell from the Lunsford Lane bridge that crosses the M20 at Larkfield.

Police were called to the incident at about 10.10pm yesterday.

Officers attended the scene alongside ambulance crews and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

Police spokesman Steve Knight said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will now be prepared for the coroner."

The M20 was closed for a number of hours following the incident but was reported open by Highways England by 5.30am.
